A Naturopathic practitioner can help empower your health journey.
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Are you wanting help in getting your health back on track so you can start focusing on living?
Naturopathic medicine is an holistic approach to healthcare that aims to improve and optimise the health of the whole person. With a strong emphasis on prevention and education, the naturopathic approach is particularly effective in the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases.
You will undertake an in-depth case history and facts finding exercise and may be asked to complete some functional pathology or standard pathology testing and some other physical tests that tap into the body’s own self-healing capabilities. Naturopaths seek to understand the underlying cause of the condition with the aim of bringing you back to optimal health.
A comprehensive health assessment of nutrient status, dietary evaluation, and environment drivers of poor health will ascertain the reason why you may be suffering from:
- Digestive and poor gut health
- Food allergies
- Hormonal imbalances
- Poor weight control
- Musculo-skeletal issues like fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis
- Paediatrics: Tummy pain, ASD, frequent illness
- Nervous system disorders like migraine, fatigue, insomnia, depression, anxiety
- Fertility & conception challenges
- Liver disease and detoxification issues
- Autoimmune disease and poor immunity
- Skin Conditions like eczema, psoriasis or acne
- Metabolic syndrome: diabetes, heart disease, obesity
Katie Kuivisto (Naturopath)
Katie is passionate about treating the whole individual and not just the symptoms but also the cause. She believes that it is her task as a practitioner to encourage the body’s own natural healing processes to not only focus on present health conditions but also to focus on preventing disease.
She is passionate about helping people on their journey to living optimally and getting the most out of life! Katie’s special interest is in digestive health as there is such an important connection between the gut and overall wellbeing, both physical and mental. Weight loss is another interest and she aims to empower you through education and accountability to reach your own health goals.
Katie likes to be active and over the years has played a variety of sports including indoor soccer, badminton, volleyball and table tennis. She loves to travel as well as go for a hike or explore the outdoors in her swag. Otherwise, she can be found enjoying a night in reading a book or involved in an activity at her local church.
